QUESTION:
Coach has two deep cycle batteries in parallel plus an engine battery. How do I hook up this trio? Boat has two 4D deepcycle batteries. Only connected via the usual battery switch ( 1 - 2 - both - off). How do I hook up this duo? Regards. C.M.
ANSWER:
Dear __,
Wherever you have the batteries isolated, like in your coach, you need a separate Battery life saver for each bank. The engine battery should have a BLS-12-A installed. The 2 parallel deep cycle can use either the BLS-12-A or BLS-12/24-C.
The same thing applies to the boat except that if you have two BLS's, one on each bank, they will interfere with each other when the switch is in the "both" position. You allways want to attach the Battery Life Saver directly to the battery, not through any switches. If you operate your boat in the both position most of the time, you could put BLS-12/24-C on one bank and the other bank will recieve some of the signal.
