PACKAGE PRIMARY USE

The package is used primarily for storing a battery or batteries seasonally. The package can be installed on board in a permanent installation. An example would be a collector car, motorcycle, RV, boat or any other vehicle that is used seasonally.

This package consists of

  1. The Battery Life Saver™ electronic device BLS-12/24B (Package also available for 24, 36, 48, and 72 volt systems)
  2. A Vector 2 amp float charger and
  3. A timer to cycle the charger on and off daily.

The charger and The Battery Life Saver electronic device can be mounted on a vehicle as needed.
This package will keep your batteries in a like new condition during the entire period of
storage. It can also be used to rejuvenate dead batteries easily.

Timer and BLS

Theory of Operation

The Battery Life Saver electronic device (BLS) restores and maintains a battery in a like new condition by using a radio signal to dissolve lead sulfate crystals that build up on its plates.

The plates consist of stacks of multiple flat plates that provide a high surface area on which to generate the electricity. They alternate from positive to negative in the stack.

Sulfate builds up on both the positive and negative plates. In order for the Battery Life Saver to dissolve the sulfate crystals from both plates it must operate while it discharges the battery AND while the charger is charging.

This is why the timer is used. To allow the BLS to work during the charge cycle and the discharge cycle.
